From the 1st night of our Honda Civic Tour. We’re still getting the hang of our set… there are some kinks and hold-ups but we’ll get our grove back ;) I’m just stoked to be back out on the road. Hope to see you at a show!

So….. I’m really excited about this post. I get to show you guys our merch. A lot of you may have already seen it, if you get our Facebook/Twitter updates. But juuuust incase you didn’t, here’s all the merch we’ll be selling on the Honda Civic Tour - which starts TOMORROW, OMG. Pretty sure these images are hard to see with the naked eye… so click on it all and it should take you to the Paramore Facebook page where you can peep everything a little better.

And if any of this info I’m giving you is wrong - I blame Fueledbyadam… even though he’s an absolute legend.

Welcome to the crappiest editing job you’ve ever seen. This is as much as I could do tonight after dealing with nearly losing all the photos/videos while trying to upload them… So, I basically just threw a bunch of clips together from the studio. *~* We’re so stoked to be a part of Loretta Lynn’s 50th Anniversary compilation. I heard there are a lot of incredible artists on it… Not sure of the entire list. Think it goes without saying, this is an honor we never expected. I’m such a fan of Loretta, not just because of her music but because of how high she rose above all the bullshit life tried to throw at her. This woman is tough as nails. Hope we do her song the least bit of justice!

Also, note that we recorded this cover (“You Ain’t Woman Enough”) with Chad from Paper Route at JOY Mansion. It was built by a Colonel Wright after the War of 1812. Paper Route bought it not too long ago and are transforming it into a studio/band house that could be easy mistaken for Neverland. (The one in the movie, not Michael Jackson’s place). Maybe they will let us come back and record there whenever we demo new songs? Yes please.

Paramore have been nominated for four Teen Choice Awards and Hayley is up for one herself in the Choice Music category! The band is nominated for Choice Rock Group and brand new eyes is in the running for Choice Rock Album. The singles ‘Ignorance’ and ‘The Only Exception’ are nominated for Choice Rock Track and Choice Love Song, respectively.

Hayley is nominated for Choice Hook Up for her work on the song ‘Airplanes’ with B.o.B!

This summer, Fueled By Ramen will release the 2010 Summer Tour EP featuring new and rare tracks from all the bands on The Honda Civic Tour! Paramore and Tegan and Sara both contribute two songs, while New Found Glory and Kadawatha share one each.

The CD is limited to only 3,000 copies available at Hot Topic and in The Fueled By Ramen Webstore and will be available August 10th. It will also be available through iTunes starting July 20th.

On July 3, 2010, two best friends, Darrin Elwood and Tyler Blais, were on their way home to Salt Lake City from a road trip in Southern Utah and Arizona. At 5:45 a.m., Tyler was asleep in passenger seat and Darrin was driving. He fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into the guard rail on the side of the road. The guard rail impaled the car, killing both 17-year old boys. The deaths have devastated not only their families, but their friends and just about anyone who had ever come into contact with either boy, as they were both such positive parts of everyones lives.

The families cannot afford the expenses of the funerals. Though many have donated and raised money by selling keychains and tshirts, it’s nowhere near enough to pay for the funerals, which cost $11,000 each on average. On Wednesday, July 7th, two girls (who were good friends with Tyler and Darrin) and I attended The Wonder Years show in SLC. Tyler had been a big fan of TWY, and had planned on going to that very show. After the show, we went and talked to The Wonder Years, and the accident and loss of Darrin and Tyler came up. Soupy of TWY immediately got on the phone, called his manager, and had him dig up some rare vinyls for them to sign and auction off to help pay for the funerals of these young, drug free musicians who had their lives taken away from them far too soon.

These vinyls are super rare, and will be signed by all of the members of The Wonder Years. On top of that, every cent of the proceeds go to the families of the deceased to help them pay for the expenses.

I go to a “speech therapist” because it’s actually my speaking that causes me to go hoarse, more than it is my singing. My whole family speaks at a low pitch, pretty loudly, and a whole hell of a lot! And apparently, I don’t breath enough when I speak. So, every day I have to read this paragraph… and take deep breaths at each comma and period. It feels so ridiculous but if it’ll help, I’ll take one for the team.
